Equality & Diversity

Holdsway meeting image

Our aim is simple: to encourage and welcome the diversity of everyone who engages with Holdsway (“We”).

We aim to ensure our colleagues, partners, clients, candidates – all those we are in contact with - are treated no less favourably on the grounds of age, gender, marital status, colour, ethnic or national origin, culture, religion, religious belief or similar philosophical belief, disability, political affiliation or sexual orientation.

Our guiding principle

We are guided by Principle 6 of the United Nations Global Compact which states that "Businesses should uphold the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation."

Included in this Principle is the guidance that, ‘non-discrimination in employment means simply that employees are selected on the basis of their ability to do the job and that there is no distinction, exclusion or preference made on other grounds.'

We extend these values of inclusivity and recognition of individuals to all relationships we have with people we work with.

Our commitment

Holdsway is committed to eliminating all forms of discrimination and to promoting equality of opportunity in all its employment and recruitment activities.

Holdsway is committed to being a team of colleagues which reflects, where possible the diversity of its clients.

Holdsway’s aim is that every applicant, colleague and third-party employee is treated with dignity and respect. Colleagues will always be given the opportunity to reach their full potential and to do the work they believe they are best suited to.

When hiring and employing colleagues, Holdsway is committed to ensuring that they feel valued and respected within the business.

All colleagues have a responsibility to comply with this policy, to treat their colleagues, partners and clients with dignity and respect at work, or at a business-related event.

Holdsway reserves the right to act on discriminatory behaviour brought to its attention on the grounds of employer responsibility and liability.

All employees are made aware that the company will not hesitate in taking disciplinary action, including if appropriate dismissal, if they engage in an action or conduct determined to be discriminatory, whether intentional or unintentional.

This policy applies to all aspects of employment including recruitment and selection processes, opportunities for training, development and promotion, and Terms and Conditions of Employment.

All colleagues, whether permanent or temporary, are expected to comply at all times with the spirit of this policy in their conduct towards colleagues and third parties (including clients, interims, suppliers) whilst at work, at business-related functions and in other circumstances where the company can be expected to exercise some influence over their conduct.

All colleagues have a responsibility to adhere to this policy and to ensure that equality of opportunity is maintained through all aspects of our business.
