With a BA (Hons) in Economics and French (University of Kent), a Licence in Economics (University of Grenoble), and a French-speaker, Mary also qualified with CIMA.

Her commercial finance career spanned 12 years between London and New York, with British Airways plc, Arcadia Group plc, Park Avenue Healthcare Management, New York and Spectris plc over a period of 12 years.  Mary retrained as a teacher, responsible for leading mathematics at a successful, expanding primary school.  Following promotion to senior leadership, Mary led on whole-school assessment.  She joined Holdsway in 2016.

Currently undertaking a doctorate in counselling psychology and psychotherapy, Mary works as a BACP-registered counsellor at a local further education college and volunteers for a therapeutic counselling charity.  Other pro-bono roles have included Club Welfare Officer at Mayford Athletic Football Club and independent auditor of charity accounts.  In her spare time, she runs, listens to podcasts, and walks her very lively labrador!
